Google Assistant will read the ingredients and directions out loud and you can see them listed on the screen. Unlike most of the other smart displays, the Nest Hub doesn't have a camera, which might be a negative for some, but privacy-minded folks will appreciate its absence. Otherwise, it offers all the same features as the other smart displays for a reasonable price. The Google Nest Hub is a cute, useful gadget, and an even better value now than it was when it debuted.
Simply say "resume cooking" when you're ready and Google will go right back to where you left off in the recipe. It's a great feature that's ahead of Alexa's similar recipe feature on the Echo Show. Have recommendable 10-inch smart displays with Google Assistant built in and most of the same features as the Nest Hub. Both the battery life and charging time of the Pixel 6a leave you with a lot to desire. The phone can get you through a full day easily if you’re mainly using it for chats, email browsing, and calls.

It's the pricing of the Echo Show 8 that really makes the comparison harder than it was last year. Even when it's not on sale, the Echo Show 8 offers a lot of benefits over the Nest Hub for manageable price increase. The Nest Hub remains our Editor's Choice winner for smart displays, but we awarded the Echo Show 8 an Editor's Choice when we reviewed it earlier this year as well. If you ask "how much tomato sauce?" Google will understand that you're referring to the recipe and will give the appropriate answer. You can also multitask while you cook and watch videos, play music, set a timer or add something to your shopping list.
At this price point, you have phones offering 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rates for smoother scrolling and animations. With its rear glass panel with curved edges and a weight of around 178 grams, the Pixel 6a is wonderfully ergonomic and comfortable to hold on a daily basis. The rear camera visor and the overall design also make it a unique-looking phone in its price segment. So if you’re looking for a comfortable and stylish phone at around Rs 30,000, the Pixel 6a is definitely worth buying right now. Because of the security concerns behind controlling security cameras, there’s a bit more work that needs to be done. With that, the current list is big, made up of over 15 different companies with products certified.

My favorite feature of the Nest Hub is now available on third party Google Assistant displays as well. The panel shows a status of your home including how many lights are on and the current temperature. You'll see shortcut buttons for common tasks that change based on which devices you have synced to your Google Assistant. You still have to use the Nest appto set up a Nest thermostat or camera. Nest speakers and smart displays, however, require you to use the Google Home app.

If your search requires a bit more digging, though, things can get hairy. At most, the Home Hub will display three videos on screen at a time - which can mean it might take a few minutes to find what you’re looking for. Five years later and the Echo range of smart home products has become a driving force in turning smart voice assistants from the stuff of science-fiction into a helping hand in our homes.
